We have Florida Resident Gold Pass and recently i was told by other pass holders that when i buy additional tickets the 20% discount will apply to them & my yearly renewal rate for my Gold Pass. I am not finding this written anywhere- is it true?

Hi there, LeAnne! There are so many wonderful things about being a Florida resident (70 degree days in January come to mind), and being able to buy a Disney Gold Pass ranks high on the list! Sadly, I'm not a resident of the Sunshine State (yet), but being a Disney Vacation Club member allows me to purchase this little slice of heaven every yEAR!

In addition to the discounts on dining, merchandise, and special room offers at Walt Disney World Resort hotels, Annual Passholders can sometimes buy discounted theme park tickets for family and friends. This past summer, Walt Disney World Resort ran a promotion called "Bring-a-Friend," which allowed Gold, Platinum, Platinum Plus, and Premier Passholders to share the magic through the purchase of a 1-Day Ticket with Park Hopper at a special rate. Unfortunately, this offer ended in August; however, I encourage you to bookmark the Passholder Extras and Florida Resident webpages and visit them often to check for seasonal promotions. I also like to check my Mickey Monitor, which is mailed home quarterly, for Passholder benefits and discounts. You can access an online version of the newsletter on the Walt Disney World website.

Currently, Guests can save up to 15% off when they decide to renew and stay part of the Annual Passholder family; keep in mind that Annual Passes can be renewed up to 60 days before and 30 days after expiration. There are three easy ways to do this:
    1. Renew in person at any Walt Disney World Resort theme park ticket window, Guest Relations location or the Disney Springs Ticket Center location.
    2. Renew online.
    3. Renew over the phone by calling (407) 560-PASS or (407) 560-7277 and speak to a Cast Member (phone renewals are not available if you would like to renew your Annual Pass through the Monthly Payment Program for Florida Residents).

I hope this helps, LeAnne! Mickey and I would like to thank you for being a loyal member of the Passholder Family! If you have any more questions, please come back and visit us again.
