Hello, neighbor! I'm a Florida resident, too, Kathy. Isn't it grand! I love the perks and discounts
Walt Disney World Resort offers, especially for
Theme Park Tickets and
Disney Resorts Collection Hotels. I'm always keeping my "Mickey ears" open for the latest offerings! I hope you follow the
Disney Parks Blog because that's usually where those announcements drop.
Have you heard about the current
Florida Resident Disney Weekday Magic Ticket offer? It's a great deal! There are some blockout dates, but your arrival date would be eligible. Remember to make
Theme Park Reservations for all party members as soon as you purchase the tickets.
Kathy, here's the scoop on buying tickets for your grandchildren. For any children under three, you won't need to purchase a Theme Park Ticket at all. Children three and over will need a ticket, but they do not need to show an ID as long as you're with them, so you can purchase tickets for them using your resident discount. If any of your grandchildren are 18 or older, then they would need
proof of Florida Residency to use a Florida Resident Ticket. Since it looks like they're all from New York, you would buy anyone 18 and older a
standard Theme Park Ticket. If you've never purchased Theme Park Tickets as a Florida Resident, Kathy, I'm happy to let you know that you can Verify Florida Residency online when you purchase the tickets. You should be prompted to confirm using one of
several forms of residency proof during the checkout process. It's so easy! Or you can wait and bring the appropriate documents and verify your residency at any
Guest Relations location. I like going to the
Ticket Center at Disney Springs. I can do some shopping and grab a cookie at
Gideon's Bakehouse at the same time!
Kathy, you're doing such a wonderful thing by taking your grandchildren to Walt Disney World Resort. You'll be creating magical memories to last a lifetime. And please stop by planDisney anytime if you have any questions or need some advice. That's what we're here for!
Magic awaits,
Elaine
