Welcome to planDisney, Gene!
It sounds like you’re planning an unforgettable trip for your family—what a magical grandpa you are! Staying at
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort is such a treat. It’s not only a family favorite but also an incredible place to immerse yourself in Disney magic! The family suites in the “Finding Nemo,” “Cars,” and “The Lion King” sections are perfect for larger families, with two bathrooms, a kitchenette, and sleeping space for up to six. If you’re staying in “The Little Mermaid” wing, the whimsical standard rooms are also a delight.
Now, about those
Florida Resident Discover Disney Tickets—great choice! These tickets are valid for use from January 13 through May 23, 2025, and require a park reservation in advance. As a Florida resident, you can absolutely purchase these discounted tickets for yourself and your grandchildren under the age of 18, as they don’t need to provide proof of residency. Just be sure to
verify your Florida residency when you buy the tickets, either online or in person at a Guest Services location at Disney Springs or a theme park ticket window.
Keep in mind, though, that any family members over the age of 18 would need to show their own proof of Florida residency to use a Florida resident ticket. If they’re not residents, you might want to purchase standard theme park tickets for them instead so that everyone can enjoy the magic together.
Oh, and don’t forget to check out the recreational activities at your resort! From the Big Blue Pool to
evening campfires, there’s always something magical happening. You’ll find a schedule of activities when you check in—perfect for keeping the grandkids entertained.
Gene, I hope you and your family create the most magical memories together. If you have any more questions as you plan, we’re always here to help.
See ya real soon!
