Can a florida resident buy tickets as a gift for a relative that’s out of state?

    Hi Cailyn!

Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for bringing us your question about Florida Resident tickets. Walt Disney World does an awesome job of creating Special Offers, not only for Residents of Florida, but also for Annual Passholders, Military families, and Guests alike. Currently, there are some great discounts that can be found by checking out the Special Offers tab of the Walt Disney World website.

Cailyn, while the Florida Resident discounts for tickets and resort rooms are enticing, solely Florida Residents can take advantage of them. The idea of purchasing a Florida Resident ticket and gifting it to someone is very generous, however, the person who receives said ticket would need to show proof of Florida Residency in order for it to be validated. This can be done online or in person, but valid identification must be presented along with the ticket in order to enter the theme parks.

I hope this helps you plan a most magical vacation at the Walt Disney World Resort. Please be sure to stop by and ask us any future Disney vacation planning questions.
