I am a Florida resident and want to buy Florida resident tickets for my friends who live in Texas. 1. Can my Texas friends use the Florida resident ticket? 2. Can Disney members buy Florida resident ticket for out of state friends to visit WDW?

    Hi Jay!

Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney!

It must be wonderful to live in Florida where you can visit Walt Disney World frequently! How wonderful that you want to visit Walt Disney World with friends! You all are going to have an amazing time!

Unfortunately, I have some bad news though. In order to use a Florida resident ticket, all Guests over the age of 18 are required to show valid proof of residency in the form of a valid Florida driver’s license (must have a Florida address), a valid Florida state-issued ID card (must have a Florida address) or a valid Florida-based military ID in order to activate your ticket.

This means that your Texas friends cannot use a Florida Resident ticket. If your friends have children under the age of 18, you can however purchase tickets at your special Florida resident price. You will still need to be present to show valid proof of residency to activate those tickets before the first use.

    Magically,

    Stacy
