Welcome to
planDisney, Roxana! I’m so glad you stopped by to visit us with your planning question!
The
Florida Resident Discover Disney Ticket is my favorite offer of the year! It’s a great value for the Springtime. Right now, we just don’t know when Disney will begin to sell Walt Disney World Annual Passes again. In years past, if your tickets for this offer were not expired, I know that you could definitely apply the amount of your ticket toward a new annual pass. I’ve had so many friends and family members do this over the years!
Being Mickey’s neighbor does offer up some really great perks!
The only catch is you must do this transaction in person. It can’t be done over the phone. (I learned this when I tried to do the same thing for my family. I’m also a Florida Resident, but live near Miami and unfortunately did not have another trip planned for a few months.) You can complete this transaction with a Cast Member in person at either the
Disney Springs Guest Services location, at any ticket window, or Will Call window at any of the four theme parks.
Roxana, another important thing to note is that your pass would expire a year from the date you first used your ticket and not on the date you converted that ticket to an annual pass.
Florida Residents have some great options when it comes to
Walt Disney World Annual Passes. My go-to pass is the Disney Silver Pass, but I have friends who really feel they get the most benefit out of the Disney Theme Park Select Pass. I encourage you to take a look at your options, so when the opportunity arrives, you will have a good idea about what you think will work best for you!
Keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for the latest updates on the happenings at Walt Disney World Resort theme parks. We are all hoping to see some news about annual passes in the coming months.
I hope this information has been helpful. Please come back to see us if you have any more questions. We’re always happy to help you with all the details of your next
magical vacation!
