Will our Florida resident annual pass automatically renew? Or do we have to purchase a new one in January?

Hello, Thomas, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

While your Florida resident Walt Disney World Resort Annual Pass will not renew automatically, there are three ways you can keep the magic going into the next year.

Annual Passes can be renewed up to 60 days before or 30 days after your pass’ expiration. Since Passes are good for a full year from purchase (which is not necessarily a calendar year), your renewal date will depend upon when you initially activated your Annual Pass. Whenever you renew within the renewal window, your expiration date remains the same.

When it’s time to renew, the easiest option is renewing online or through your My Disney Experience mobile app. You can also renew in person at any Walt Disney World Resort Theme Park ticket window or the new Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs. If you’re using the Monthly Payment Plan available to Florida residents, these are your only two options for renewal. If you’re not on the Monthly Payment Plan, you also have the option to renew over the phone by calling the Annual Passholder help line.

At the time of your renewal, you can also upgrade or change your Annual Pass to a different category--perhaps one that doesn’t include blockout dates!

Please let us know if there are any other questions we can answer for you, Thomas. You can also check out the Frequently Asked Questions about Annual Passes on the Walt Disney World Resort website. We hope to see you real soon.
