Hello! I would like to use my Florida residency to purchase tickets for my out-of-state aunt. Does she have to show Florida residency to use the get your ears on ticket at the gate if I purchase it for her with my Florida residence?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Morgan! I just know that you’re going to have an amazing visit with your aunt at the most magical place on earth! Thanks for sending in your question.

When it comes to purchasing and using Florida Resident theme park tickets, they must first be activated by showing Proof of Florida Residency. Anyone over the age of 18 must show valid ID to prove their residency in the state at any Ticket window or Disney Springs Guest Services location, in order to be able to use this type of ticket. This means your aunt would not be able to use a theme park ticket meant for Florida Residents.

I encourage you to take a look at the Special Offers section of the official Disney site. Mickey and his friends offer all kinds of promotions for Florida Residents. You can absolutely use your resident status to book a Disney Resort hotel and stay with your aunt at the discounted rate.

Morgan, I hope this information is helpful to you. Don’t hesitate to stop back in to see us if you have any additional planning questions. Helping you with the details of your next magical visit is our pleasure!
