I have never been to Florida. Are the pools open in December or is it to cold to swim?

The average high temperature for Orlando in December is in the low 70s. This is however, only the average. During any given December day, you could experience anything from 40s to 80s. In fact, when we were at our Moms Panel training this past December, we were all sweating in 80+ degree temperatures. But regardless of the weather, the WDW pools at all the resorts are open and heated year round. I have seen people swimming at WDW in just about every type of weather. Often kids are in the pools having a grand old time while the parents are bundled under blankets on the deck chairs. If you have a hearty constitution and want to take a swim, you can always do so at WDW.
