Hi, my flight after my mediterranean cruise from Barcelona is at 11:15am, do I book a private transfer?

    Welcome back, Linet!

Your Mediterranean sailing with Disney next summer is going to be the trip of a lifetime. I have so many wonderful memories of being over in the Mediterranean last summer with Disney Cruise Line! From the exciting Port Adventures to the way that Disney immerses guests in the culture of the upcoming port before even stepping off the ship, you're in for such a treat!

Disney Cruise Line recommends that guests do not book flights earlier than 12:00 noon on the day they debark the ship. While the ship arrives into port early, customs must clear the ship and even when guests begin disembarking around 7:30 a.m., they must then go through customs and gather luggage before heading out of the port. Just to be safe, I do recommend that with this earlier flight, you reserve a private transfer. If you booked your cruise through Disney Cruise Line, simply call one of the agents there at 800-951-3532. They can assist you with reserving a private transfer from the port to the airport. However, if you booked through a travel agent, your travel agent will need to call Disney Cruise Line directly.

Either way, Disney Cruise Line will not be able to give you a price quote right away for the private transfer. You can request this transfer with them, and then Embarkation Services will call you directly to give you a price quote and get all of your information. Make sure you request this private transfer at least 30 days in advance of your sail date.

Should your flight time change to later than noon, Disney Cruise Line's ground transportation in Barcelona is $30 each way per person (ages 3 and up) (and is perfect for guests with flights after noon). We use their ground transportation each time we sail, no matter the port, as they take care of all the details, meaning we just show up and enjoy!

I hope that helps as you continue to plan, Linet! Please stop back if you have other questions before you sail next summer!
