Our flight leaves MCO at 4:46pm. What time should I schedule Mearns express? Would I have more time at the resort if I scheduled a Minnie lyft service? How do I schedule a MInnie Lyft van? I have the app. Is it through my Disney experience?

    Welcome to planDisney, Elizabeth!

I'm so glad you stopped by with your question for us.

During every Walt Disney World Resort vacation, you can bet I'm trying to add a few days to my trip before it ends, and if that doesn't work, I try to add as many minutes as possible. This is why I completely understand you inquiring about which method of transportation gives you more time at your Disney Resort hotel!

Elizabeth, according to Mears Connect's FAQ page, for the Express service, your return will be estimated 2.5-3 hours before your domestic flight's departure, and for an international flight, an estimated 3.5-4 hours, which is pretty standard in making sure you make your flight on time. You will receive a confirmed departure time from your Disney Resort hotel on Mears Connect in your email rather than choosing a time to leave. During my last trip, departing my Disney Resort hotel using the Standard service, the bus arrived 3 hours and 20 minutes before my flight departed. I appreciate that they're professional and get us to our flights on time (or earlier), but I understand that sometimes, you may not need to leave as far in advance.

I called and spoke to a Cast Member at Guest Services who said that the Minnie Van™ Service to and from Orlando International Airport is currently limited to Guests staying at Club Level. If you have a Club Level stay, you can call Disney Signature Services, and a friendly Cast Member will be happy to help schedule your departure. If you would instead choose the time you'd like to depart your Disney Resort hotel, you can also choose to go with the ride-share app like Lyft but not use the Minnie Van™ Service. However, I do advise you to allow yourself enough time to get to the airport, check any bags if you need to, go through security, etc.

Whether or not you're staying at Club Level, you're welcome to do so if you want to use the Minnie Van™ Service around Walt Disney World Resort! It is connected through the Lyft App, so you would need to download the app, and then when you're choosing your vehicle type, the Minnie Van™ should come up as an option. All the vehicles are equipped with 2 child safety seats, and the fabulous Cast Members are trained to install them, should you have little Mouseketeers in your party that require them. We love this service, plus, who doesn't love riding around in a polka-dotted car?

Disney Resort hotels are just the best. During my family's last day at our resort, we like to take it easy and enjoy the resort pool. Did you know you can enjoy amenities at your Disney Resort hotel all day after checking out? Cast Members at Bell Services are happy to store your luggage while you explore after checkout. If you're wondering what we do about showers, I'm pleased to tell you that most Disney Resort hotels offer an indoor private shower for Guests. They come stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and towels and are usually located nearby the larger pools of the resort. I recommend asking a Cast Member the location of the showers before taking a dip, just to be sure.

Wishing you an enchanting visit, Elizabeth!
