My flight lands at 1:05 and if we leave the airport by 2pm would that give us enough time to make it to the port in Florida? I have read reviews giving advice not to arrive at the airport later than 1230. Also I will be taking a private shuttle to the port

Welcome aboard, Joseph! I hope you're looking forward to your exciting sailing with Disney Cruise Line this year! With so much to offer every member of the family both onboard and in the various ports of call, this is sure to be a great vacation for you all!

Disney Cruise Line offers ground transfers between the Orlando International Airport (MCO) and Port Canaveral running from the first departure at 10:00 a.m. to the final departure at 1:45 p.m. that can be booked in advance for $35 per person each way. You could just barely make that last transfer, but it sounds like you already have a private transportation shuttle booked. If you leave the airport by 2:00 p.m. you should just make it to the ship. Guests absolutely must be on the ship no later than 3:45 p.m., and the drive from the airport to Port Canaveral is about an hour. All of this being said, I would not feel comfortable with a flight arriving at 1:00, Joseph. Any one delay in flight, ground transportation or traffic could cause you to miss the ship. If it's at all possible, I would suggest trying to book an earlier flight so that you don't have the stress of trying to get to the ship in time. It would be disappointing to be so excited for this vacation, only to have a delay cause you to miss the ship altogether.

My family prefers to fly in the day before and stay overnight either at the Walt Disney World Resort or at the Hyatt at the airport that partners with Disney Cruise Line. This way, we know that any delays would simply have us arriving late to the hotel, but wouldn't cause us to miss the cruise. Good luck as you make your decisions on flights, Joseph. If you have any other questions as you continue to plan your cruise with Disney, please stop back! We're happy to help!
