Hi Bertha,
Welcome to planDisney! Thank you for sailing by with your question. It sounds like you are hoping to learn more about how to plan your Disney Cruise Line vacation travel, so I have some information to share.
Disney Cruise Line can
book your air travel arrangements as part of your Disney Cruise Line vacation package. If you are unsure about
booking your air travel or would like to have your vacation planned from start to finish, this is a great option. They can also book
hotel stays before and after your cruise and ground transportation from the airport. You can
give Disney Cruise Line a call, and one of the helpful Cast Members will take care of the plans for you or explain how the process works.
Bertha, if you are planning air travel and would like to know the recommended arrival and departure times for your flights, Disney Cruise Line can help you with that, too! You can call and inquire and ask all your questions, which a Cast Member will gladly answer, or you can
review the recommendations on the website. Arrival and departure time recommendations are based on your
port of departure and usually its proximity to the nearest major airport. I recommend that you arrive a day early in case of flight delays, and it will allow you to board the ship as early as your
Port Arrival Time allows.
One quick tip I would like to share is to remember to pack a carry-on bag for your cruise embarkation day since your checked luggage won't be available for a few hours after you board the ship. I like to carry my sunscreen, sun hat, and sunglasses, along with my travel documents and medications.
I hope this information helps as you make your vacation plans, Bertha. Please let us know if you have other questions!
Wishing you many magical memories,
Shannon
