Port Orleans Riverside Pool

    We have a flight that doesn’t depart until 930 pm. If we wanted to spend the day at PO Riverside after checkout, are there showers we could use to get ready before heading to the airport?

    Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by with a question about Disney’s Port Orleans - Riverside Resort. I’m happy to chat about this quiet and serene resort that makes you feel like you’re down by the Bayou. Let’s take a look at the resort amenities. 

    A day at the pool sounds like the perfect way to wrap up your Disney vacation. I have great news for you Meg, you’re considered a Guest of the resort until midnight on check out day so you can plan to enjoy the resort’s offerings until it’s time for you to say “see ya real soon” and head to the airport. 

    Port Orleans Resort - Riverside is home to 5 Leisure pools in addition to the resort’s feature pool: Ol’ Man Island. This feature pool is also home to a 95-foot long waterslide that fits perfectly into the abandoned sawmilll theming. Towels are available at all pools but if you’re looking for showers, these are only located at Ol’Man Island. You can enjoy a day in the water and then use the nearby restrooms and showers to get ready for your flight home.  

    If you’re looking for a bite to eat on your departure day, hop aboard a boat to Disney Springs or visit the Riverside Mill Food Court. My family likes to walk along the Sassagoula River to Disney’s Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter and grab beignets from Scat Cat’s Club - Café. They are the perfect snack for the road!
