Hello, Jay, and let me offer you a hearty welcome to planDisney where we love to help guests plan Magical vacations.
Jay, I'm happy to chat about your resort stay as
Disney's Port Orleans Resort- French Quarter is one of my family's favorites and one that I often recommend. Smaller in size than some of the other moderate resort choices, I love the intimate feel of this property. We found that no matter the room location, we could easily make it to the
Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory for an early morning coffee by walking just a few minutes. Speaking of coffee, you may want to also add on some beignets which can be found at the
Scat Cat's Club- Cafe.
Another reason to love Disney's Port Orleans Resort- French Quarter is its proximity to Disney Springs.
Accessible by a relaxing boat ride, you can grab lunch or dinner at one of the many restaurant choices at Disney Springs.
Now, as a moderate resort, I appreciate that this resort offers a great marriage of theming and budget. I love the ironwork all around the property, reminiscent of New Orleans, the jazz music in the background, and my kids loved the pool slide!
Jay, while we could spend hours at the pool, we also love time in the parks. While I understand that guests who prioritize being able to walk into a theme park or use the Disney Skyliner may select a resort other than Disney's Port Orleans Resort- French Quarter, my family and I are happy to hop aboard the
complimentary bus transportation and let Mickey take care of the driving.
I hope my experience with Disney's Port Orleans Resort- French Quarter helps as you continue to plan for your upcoming visit. Make sure to stop by the Front Desk when you check in to get a schedule of the resort activities.
Wishing you a pixie-dusted stay. If you have any additional questions, please come on back to planDisney.
