Flight arrives at 2:30pm on 9/4. Traveling with a 3 /12 year old. I'm not sure what to do in the evening. MK closes at 7pm, that doesn't seem like enough time to see anything. Epcot is open late. Or should we do Downtown Disney? Thanks so much!

Thanks for the great question Megan! After a long day of travelling, we now opt for other options than theme parks for our first day.  It's always fun to begin your vacation by exploring your resort and checking out the pool. Downtown Disney is our new first day tradition. We love it there. The shops, restaurants and scenery keep us busy for hours! Click here to check out the latest videos on the Moms Panel website - Margaret and her boys show you how to design your own tee shirt at the Disney's Design-A-Tee shop, and Cathy and her family take you 400 feet in the air on the new Characters in Flight Attraction. My daughter loved the dance "lessons" that were offered on the Dock Stage, across from the World of Disney shop.

Wishing you a magical vacation Megan!
