Fist trip to WDW. My 40th bday and 5 yo daughter has no clue we are going (lol). I bought the QSP but am confused about how it works. Do we just go to a resteraunt and get food? How do we upgrade to a table meal? Do we use our QS and pay more on top of it?

Wow Mike, so many exciting things going on - first trip to Walt Disney World, your 40th and a huge surprise for your daughter! I think the Quick Service plan is a great addition to the dining plan. With this plan, you get two counter service meals and two snacks per person per day, plus a refillable mug for use at your resort. The credits will be added to your Key to the World Card, and you simply give it to the cashier when purchasing your food.

Your receipt will indicate how many meals and snacks you have remaining for your stay. It is important to note that you do not have to use your credits in any order, but that they must be redeemed by midnight on the day you check out.

Unfortunately you are not able to use quick service credits toward a table service meal. If you've decided where you want to dine, whether you are using the dining plan or not, it's a good idea to call (407) WDW-DINE (939-3463) and book your seating in advance, as restaurants tend to fill up quickly.

One more thing - if you're going to be at Walt Disney World on your actual birthday, be sure to register your birthday here for the What Will You Celebrate? celebration, and Disney will give you free admission to any park on your special day.

    Have a magical holiday!
