Melanie, welcome back!
Did you know that the Wonder is undergoing some
fabulous enhancements right now, with all new venues, activities, new pool and water fun, and a new Broadway-style show being added? My family and I cannot wait to set sail once it's redone this fall to experience it all ourselves! I am especially excited about the new restaurant, Tiana's Place, themed after Princess Tiana and her New Orleans style menus! My kids, though, are more excited about the all new Oceaneer Club areas, especially the Marvel Superhero Academy that is being added, and the new Frozen Musical Spectacular show in the Walt Disney Theatre! Your family will be some of the first to experience all these new spaces on the Wonder! Plus, you have all of the additional magic of a Very Merrytime Cruise to look forward to!
Disney Cruise Line does not sponsor Fish Extender groups, but these are created by online forums of Disney fans who all meet up online in chat forums based on sail date. They get to know each other before setting sail and plan to meet up onboard too. Sometimes these groups set up a Fish Extender exchange to exchange small gifts throughout the sailing. Outside each stateroom is a clip on the wall, shaped like a fish, or a starfish or seahorse, and these guests hang extensions from the clip with pockets to leave gifts in - thus "extending" the fish clip: a Fish Extender. Disboards is one of the most popular Disney fan forums where some guests sign up to join these groups for their particular sailing. You may pop over to their website to locate your sail date on the Wonder and see if a group is already started. My family and I enjoyed when we participated in a few different Fish Extender exchanges. It was nice to meet up with some folks online ahead of time, and fun to leave and receive little trinkets each day, a Secret Santa-type exchange.
Have fun planning, Melanie!
