As a first-time cruiser, which activities should I reserve first because they book up quickly? Which ones are likely to not have any openings even if I try to reserve it at the first available booking time (because of priority cruisers taking all slots)?

    Ahoy, Alexandra!
Congratulations on your first Disney Cruise! I hope it will be the first of "minnie" magical voyages with Captain Mickey!
I am glad you cruised by with this question because I do have some tips for you when your online booking window opens up. I believe you are sailing on the Disney Dream with the cruise date you provided (please write back if this is not correct). On your particular cruise, I definitely suggest reserving your spots for the Princess Gathering and Frozen Meet and Greet online. If you have a prince or princess between the ages of 3-12, you may be interested in a magical makeover at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique or a pirate transformation the day it becomes the Pirates League (all ages welcome) for Pirate Night. Something else to consider for your prince and princess is the Royal Court Royal Tea. This fanciful event for royal Guests ages 3-12 may book up early as well.
I also like to reserve my adult dining as early as possible. Some reservations are held back for embarkation day so if you don't get the exact time you are hoping for, you can check onboard the first afternoon. Spa appointments are typically available, but the open-air massages on Castaway Cay do book up quickly. And speaking of Castaway Cay, the cabanas are quite popular with Guests. These are often snatched up by repeat cruisers very early on. If you don't see any, keep checking as sometimes Guests change their plans and one becomes available.
Lastly, some Port Adventures do sell out, but it can vary sailing to sailing depending on the interests of Guests. Guests do have up to three days prior to departure to cancel so always continue to check online for openings.
I hope my answer is helpful, Alexandra! Please write back if we can assist you further with your plans.
