We will be there 12/16-12/22, this will be our first week long trip during Christmas time. Currently staying at AKV-K, wondering if we should stay there or switch to Wilderness Villas? Want to be surrounded with disney christmas magic and decorations??

Hi Michelle, I will be visiting Walt Disney World for Christmas this year. My family has stayed at all the Disney deluxe resorts and have had good experiences at all of them, but when I asked my daughters where they wanted to stay for the holidays, their immediate and unanimous decision was the Wilderness Lodge. Truly, of all the WDW hotels, this is the most Christmassy feeling. The roaring fire on the hearth, the warm colors, the surrounding pines, and the soaring tree centerpiece are so cozy, that you can't help but be in a holiday mood when you're there. I do like the Animal Kingdom Lodge, and the rooms at Kidani Village have better amenities than the comparable rooms at the Wilderness Lodge Villas (in some cases there is an additional bathroom). I'd stay there again in a heartbeat. But during the holidays, I'd vote for the WL every time. Good luck with your planning. Please let us know if we can provide additional assistance.
