Hi Elaine! How fun to be taking your grandson to Disney World for the first time! I think your family of 7 would enjoy a two-bedroom deluxe villa at the
Beach Club. The deluxe villa would give your family more space than multiple rooms at the Caribbean Beach. The rooms at the Caribbean Beach are approximately 314 square feet while the two-bedroom villas give you over 1,000 square feet of living area, including two bedrooms, a living room, and a kitchen, which gives you the option to cut costs by cooking some of your meals. In addition to the added space, the Beach Club Resort has more restaurants and lounges than you'll find at the Caribbean Beach, and since you can walk to Epcot or the Boardwalk area, your family members will have plenty of places to go so you won't feel all cooped up together. If you think your grandson would enjoy the beach and pool at the Caribbean Beach, he would love Stormalong Bay at the Beach Club. This mini-water park has a giant slide, a whirlpool, and a lazy river.
Be sure to check out the
Special Offers page on the Disney website, where you'll find discounts of 30 to 40 percent for the deluxe villas. If you can't find availability at the Beach Club Villas, or if the price is a little higher than you want to pay, consider the villas at the Saratoga Springs or Old Key West, which also give you more space and more luxurious accommodations, but would cost approximately the same as what you're paying for multiple rooms at the Caribbean Beach.
Hope this helps, Elaine! Please feel free to visit me again at the Moms Panel if you have more questions! Have a magical trip!
