This will be the first trip we've ever made in December and I was wondering one thing that I have found conflicting answers on. On nights of the MVMCP do they have the regular fireworks before the party starts? Thanks!

If you look at the Magic Kingdom park calendar, found HERE, you can find the times of all the parades and fireworks there for the month of December. By clicking on the actual number in each box of the calendar you will be taken to a page that gives this information. If you look at day where Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party will be run, you'll see that there are no regular fireworks scheduled.

The exact schedule for the Christmas Party for 2008 has not yet been released, but the typical party fireworks time is 9:30 p.m. Even if you don't have tickets to the party, you can see the holiday fireworks from a location outside the park such as the dock at the Grand Floridian, the beach at the Polynesian, or the observation deck at the California Grill at the Contemporary (if you have reservations).

Hope you have a wonderful first visit to WDW!
