It is our first trip to WDW and I wanted to see if anyone has stayed at the Fort Wilderness Resort in the cabins and if its a fun place to stay with 3 boys ages 8yrs and 4yrs?

    Michelle,

The Fort Wilderness cabins provide a great place to stay - period!  For anyone - period.  But if you throw three boys into the mix it can only get better.  We stayed there almost two years ago and had a fantastic stay. Let me tell you, the place simply "oozes" boyhood!   There are so many great things for boys to enjoy, like:
    - Campfires and outdoor movies
    - Golf carts (advanced reservation recommended, and costs extra)
    - Woods to play in (and get dirty in)
    - Swimming pools
    - Special dining events (Mickey's Backyard BBQ, and the Hoop-Dee-Doo)
    - Watercraft rentals
    - Horseback riding
    Etc., Etc., Etc.

Don't get me wrong -- my girls loved the experience as well -- but I know my son was the most thrilled of them all about the cabins (OK...I liked it too!).

If you can't tell, I think the cabins are a perfect idea.  Your boys are sure to thank you for your great choice.  Hope you enjoy!
