    First trip to WDW 9/19-9/25! Small family (DH, DD 18mo, & myself) but wanted Fantasmic Dinner Pkg. Called the first day I was eligible & they were already booked! Do people typically cancel this close to trip? Any suggestions on when/if I should tr

    Hey BethAnn!  You would actually be surprised how sometimes persistence will pay off for those much wanted ADRs and people actually do cancel their reservations.
    Here is what I would do, call reservations every day.  I know that sounds ridiculous, but that is your first chance to grab a cancelled ADR.  Okay so let's say you leave and still have been unsuccessful, try again calling dining reservations upon your arrival and as a last resort ... on the day you are at DHS, go by the desired restaurant that morning and see if there have had any cancellations.  I have actually had this work for me, and I have had it fail, but try as asking can't hurt anything.
    I will keep my fingers crossed and hope you get the ADR for Fantasmic you are hoping to secure.
