We are going on our first trip to WDW 5/31/09 to 6/7/09. We scheduled this because the Disney website showed it a slow week. Now I find out that, it's Alt life Pride Wk. Historically is this a slow week? Should we just avoid the park they are in (crowd)

GayDays, a non-Disney sponsored convention, does take place in the Orlando area the week that you are planning to vacation - from June 2 through June 8.  The events for the convention take place all over Orlando, and are not limited to just the Walt Disney World theme parks.

More than 135,000 people attended GayDays in 2008, and the convention is expected to be just as popular this year.  Not all attendees visit the theme parks, and the event includes numerous other activities, such as a two day Expo, cocktail parties, pool parties, etc.

The days the convention plans to visit the theme parks is based on the following schedule:

    June 4 - Animal Kingdom
    June 5 - Disney's Hollywood Studios
    June 6 - Magic Kingdom
    June 7 - EPCOT

Most of the crowd associated with the events will be at those theme parks on those days.  If you want to avoid the crowds, it would be best to schedule your visits around the convention schedule.
