This will be our first trip to WDW; (June 2013) Will we be there for 5 days. my concern is will that be enough time to go to the 4 parks; water park and downtown Disney. Thank you

Hello, Annamaria! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Congratulations on your first visit to Walt Disney World Resort! To better answer your question, I would need to know if your stay will be 5 full days plus two travel days (arrival & departure days) or 3 full days plus two travel days. I'll give you my advice based on both scenarios since I'm not sure how long your stay will be. I think it's especially important for first-time visitors to experience all four theme parks, so I wouldn't recommend skipping a park during your visit.

If you'll have 5 full days for your vacation, there will definitely be enough time to visit all four theme parks, a water park and Downtown Disney. You'll be able to go to all 4 theme parks (one day to visit each park). I suggest planning a water park visit at the mid-point of your stay as a relaxing break - you can do a full day at a water park or, alternatively, do a water park for a half day and visit Downtown Disney in the evening.

If your stay will involve 3 full days, I would advise adding the Park Hopper option to your theme park tickets. This way, you'll be able to visit two theme parks in one day. Here's what I would suggest for a shorter stay:

Arrival Day: check in at your resort, enjoy the pool, have dinner at your resort
Day 1: Magic Kingdom (full day)
Day 2: Water Park (AM) & Hollywood Studios (PM)
Day 3:  Animal Kingdom (AM) & Epcot (PM)
Departure Day: check out of your resort (check-out is 11:00 AM), visit Downtown Disney for lunch and shopping

Wishing you a magical vacation, Annamaria! Please write back with any other questions as you plan your June trip - I'd be happy to help!
