This will be our first trip to WDW (girls are 6 & 3) I am getting nervous about what to do. We will be there for six days and planning on going to each park, any ideas? Character dinners are a must, so far we will do CRT, ARBH, Donalds safari

    Hi Naomi,

Hooray for your first Walt Disney World vacation! I hope you have a wonderful trip with your daughters.

First, only purchase base Magic Your Way tickets and concentrate on one park a day. This will allow you to go a little slower and not feel the pressure to do two parks in a day because you paid for the Park Hopper feature.

You will want to spend at least one day in each of the four major parks plus an extra day in Magic Kingdom and Epcot. I would start with Epcot and then head to Disney's Hollywood Studios, Magic Kingdom and then Disney's Animal Kingdom and then choose the order of your last two days based on dining.

As for character meals, these are a great way to have a meal and meet the characters without waiting twice to see them. I would recommend one more at a max. Some children are afraid of the characters and then you will spend the meal trying to calm them down. Plus the food at some of the meals is not the best. My choice would be Crystal Palace for Winnie the Pooh and Friends since you have the princesses well covered.

Remember to bring a double stroller or two single strollers as you will be doing a lot of walking. We averaged six miles a day on our last trip which is a lot.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
