Our first trip to WDW is coming up the last week of September 2012! We are staying at the Art of Animation resort. Our children's ages are 5, 8, and 10, and we are totally surprising them with this trip. Any pointers to make this trip truly magical?

Congratulations on your first Walt Disney World Vacation Sara! Your family is going to love all the magic of a Disney Vacation! I got a firsthand look at Disney Art of Animation Resort last weekend and the theming and attention to detail is quite amazing! Be sure to ask the cast member at the front desk of your resort for a First Visit Celebration Button for each member of your family. These are a lot of fun to wear throughout your trip! I would recommend booking a Character Dining Experience. My favorites are Chef Mickey's, which features the "Fab 5," at Disney's Contemporary Resort and 'Ohana's Best Friends Breakfast featuring Lilo, Stitch, Mickey Mouse, and Pluto and is located at Disney's Polynesian Resort. You can book Advanced Dining Reservations now by calling (407) WDW-DINE or going online here.Make sure to experience Wishes Nighttime Spectacular at the Magic Kingdom and Fantasmic! at Disney's Hollywood Studios for magical endings to your park days! T-REX Café and Rainforest Café at Downtown Disney are two of my children's favorite restaurants at Disney! Rainforest Café has a second location in Animal Kingdom park. Whether you prefer a prehistoric-themed setting or a jungle ambiance, both restaurants feature really cool life-sized animatronic animals and dishes sure to please your children! Another memorable experience you may consider is the popular Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage! Guests will sail the Seven Seas Lagoon on this amazing voyage full of swashbuckling tales, daring Never Land pirates, and dazzling fireworks! Follow the link I provided to learn more. I am out of room, but please feel free to write me back with any other questions that you may have. Best wishes for a Magical First Trip, Sara!
    Happy Planning,
