This is our First Trip to MK with a 2 and 4 year old. We are there for only two days :-( What are the primary rides/areas we should hit?

When my children were as young as yours, we concentrated our park touring in the Fantasyland and Toontown areas of the Magic Kingdom. You'll want to make sure they experience all the classic Disney rides like Dumbo, it's a small world, and Peter Pan's Flight. The one ride in Fantasyland that you might think twice about is Snow White's Scary Adventure. The witch pops out a few times and this frightens some toddlers. One way to test this is to go on the ride yourself once so that you can gauge whether this is appropriate for your particular family.

When our kids were preschoolers they LOVED meeting the characters. We spent a great deal of time in the Toontown Hall of Fame. There are three character greeting lines here with different characters at each. (And there is great air-conditioning here on a hot day.) There will be a sign post that tells which character are in which line, so make sure you choose the one with your children's favorite. (Or keep getting back in line to do them all.) Another great activity is the Goofy's Barnstormer ride. This is a very mild "starter" roller coaster. The actual ride only lasts about a minute. It's a good way to test if your child is ready for more adventurous thrills.

In other areas of the park, I'd say you don't want to miss the Country Bear Jamboree show, the Magic Carpets of Aladdin, and the Jungle Cruise. Also, your 4-year-old will probably love the Buzz Lightyear ride.
