HI First trip May11-25 leaving WDW 21st then Jacksonville. Have DDP. Trying to figure out spending money. Want to really enjoy this trip but we have A BUDGET! Is $2000 enough for myself, 15yo girl? SO EXCITED! Thanks for your help!!:):):):)=)

    Hi SO EXCITED-

I think you will have more than enough spending money with the number you quoted me.  So since shopping is in your future here are some tips.

If you see something in one park and you do not plan to revisit that park on another day, I would buy it when you see it.  Though some items are available in all the parks, some are not.  I usually pick up an item when I see it so there are no disappointments later.

Now, if you do not want to carry the item while you are touring, no problem.  Any day up until the day before you check out, you can send your packages back to your resort.  All you do is ask the Castmember ringing up your purchase to send it back to your resort.  You fill out a form and Disney takes care of the rest.  The next day you go to your resort's general store and ask for your package.  They will ask for your form, and they bring your package.  It is awesome, and my husband and I once sent a postcard back because we did not want it to get wet!

Another tip is you can send it to the front gate provided you are leaving at least three hours after you make the purchase.  Packages are then sent to the store where strollers are rented and you pick up your package there.

I hope you have a magical vacation!
