Hi, Janet! Each of the moderate resorts has it's own charm and appeal, and it really depends on your personal taste to determine which you might like. I will say that I love the spread out feeling at Coronado Springs Resort. I enjoy the very peaceful walk around the lake in the morning or evening, and my kids truly enjoy the pool area there. Another awesome pool area can be found at Caribbean Beach Resort, and if anyone in your gang is a pirate fan, they have recently renovated some of the rooms in a pirate theme. In the words of my eight year old, that is "Way Cool!"
As for things to do to make everyone happy, I like to give each of my kids a day to plan. Since you have four of them, and there are four theme parks, you could let each child pick a park out of a hat, and let that child plan what they want to do that day. They could choose the restaurants they'd like, which rides and attractions they want to do, and maybe even what characters they'd like to try and seek out. I let my kids browse the site at
www.disneyworld.com to get ideas of what they want to do, and that's always worked out well.
If you are looking for something special or out of the ordinary, I highly recommend the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage, which my kids loved, especially because we were doing it with friends. The group meets for some delicious snacks at the Contemporary Resort, then you head out on the Seven Seas Lagoon for the best seats in the house for the Wishes Fireworks display. Again, this was "Way Cool!"
Have a wonderful vacation!
