This will be our first trip to DW we are not staying in a disney hotel can i still purchase a meal plan? Also i have the LapBand so i am not sure that is worth the money as there is a lot of food included, can i share one adult plan with my 4yrold?

Hi, Megan! The Disney Dining Plan is only available to Walt Disney World resort hotel guests, so unfortunately, you would not be able to purchase the plan.

I will say that the meal plan is very generous in the amount of food you may order per meal.  Even now, seven years after my gastric bypass, it's still too much food for me.  The portions are substantial, and I know even some guests who have not been gastrically altered find the plan to be very filling!

For future reference, you cannot share a meal plan.  You can always share meals, but as a resort guest, you'll have to purchase a plan for everyone over the age of 3 staying in your room.

Have a great vacation, and thanks so much for your question!
