First trip. Driving from Wisconsin over 2 days. Arriving to CBR mid/late afternoon on 3/20. How should we spend our 1st afternoon? We have a 2.5 and almost 5 y/o. Planning for MK sunday morning. Thanks for your help.

    Hi Jessica,

Driving from Wisconsin? Great! Can you swing through Chicago and pick me up?

You fill find a number of great things to do with the kids once you arrive on that Saturday. One of our favorite activities is to explore our resort once we arrive. It is a great chance to track down the best route to the pool, have a bite to eat and get unpacked and settled in. The Caribbean Beach Resort has a fantastic pool area that was just recently remodeled with a great pirate ship play area. There are hammocks on the sandy beach to lounge in and plenty of paths to stroll and enjoy the Florida sun.

If you are looking to head out from the resort, you could head over to the Boardwalk resort. Nearby is the Fantasia Gardens miniature golf courses and there are a number of shops and restaurants to enjoy on the Boardwalk. In the evenings, there is free entertainment with comedians, jugglers and magicians, and you can even catch a portion of Epcot's Illuminations from the bridge at the end of the Boardwalk.

If you are up for some shopping, why not head over to Downtown Disney. This area features numerous merchandise shops, restaurants, a train and carousel for the kids and a Lego play area. There is live entertainment at times, a massive AMC movie complex and the five floor interactive gaming complex DisneyQuest. Plenty to keep the whole family happy.

Most of all, be sure to head to bed early and get plenty of rest for your early morning start at Magic Kingdom. Hope you have a fantastic time!
