Hello! This will be my first trip to Disney World and also first time in Florida. We'll be there in mid September. What is the weather like at that time? Still very hot? Someone mentioned that it will rain everyday and that we needed to bring a poncho.

Thanks for visiting the Mom's Panel, Linda!  Congratulations on your first Walt Disney World Vacation!  I know you must be getting super excited....it will be here before you know it!  As a Georgia resident myself, I can honestly say that it is still hot in the South. I would definitely recommend shorts and short sleeved tops for the parks. In September, the average high temperature is traditionally in the upper 80s with the average low temperature in the low to mid 70s for Orlando. For example, we saw temperatures in the 90s this weekend.  I cannot predict if it will rain during your vacation, but I would recommend bringing a poncho from home just in case. I would also recommend checking the Orlando weather forecast a few days prior to your vacation to get the latest weather updates so that you can pack accordingly. I hope this information helps! Please feel free to write me back with any additional questions. Best wishes for a Magical first trip to Florida and Walt Disney World, Linda!
    Happy Planning,
