This is our first trip to Disney World and we are debating between Coronado Springs and The Polynesian. We are bringing grandparents and our 3 year old. Is the location/monorail of the Poly worth the price difference? We want he most bang for the buck!!

    Jim,

It is hard to spend someone else's money for them, but with a 3 year old, I would say that yes, it is worth the extra money to stay at the Polynesian on the monorail. I think this because you are probably going to spend most of your park time at the Magic Kingdom, because there is more to do there for your 3-year old than at the other parks. The transportation convenience, to me anyway, is really great.

You will also find yourself in quick proximity to many great restaurants, so between the monorail to there and Epcot, as well as boats to the Wilderness Lodge, you have so many dining options that you may not have to go very far afield during your stay!

However, that is not to say that Coronado Springs is not nice. I stayed there in December 2009 and LOVED it. But you will bus everywhere, with average drive times of at least 30 minutes to most locations.

    I hope that this helps!

    Have a magical vacation!
