Hi!! This will be our first trip to Disney and we purchased the dining package. I was wondering when the package takes effect?? We will be checking in on a Monday and will not be going to a park until Tuesday. Does the meal plan start the day we arrive??

Hi Mary! How exciting to be planning your family's first trip to Walt Disney World! You'll receive your meal credits on the Disney Dining Plan as soon as you check into your resort. Each person in your party receives credits for each night of your stay. For example, if you're on the regular Disney Dining Plan and you're staying for 4 nights, each person will receive credits for 4 table-service meals, 4 quick-service meals and 4 snacks. You can use these credits at any time during your stay. On the days you're not planning to visit the parks, you can use your credits to dine at the restaurants in the Disney resort hotels or participating restaurants at Downtown Disney.
