    This is our first trip to Disney. If we plan on staying Thursday through Tuesday, do we need park tickets for the last day, or can we just hang out at the hotel and pool? In other words, do I need to purchase tickets for 5 days or 6?

    If you are not planning to go into the theme parks on the last day of your trip, then you do not need to have a park pass for that day. There are many things to do at WDW without going into the parks. As you suggest, you can enjoy the recreation at your resort. You can also go shopping or dining at Downtown Disney, play minigolf, go fishing at Fort Wilderness, or any number of other non-park activities.

    Enjoy your stay at Walt Disney World.
