My first trip to Disney with husband and 2 sons ages 12 and 9 years old. What restaurants do you recommend?

    Hi Nancy!

How exciting that you'll be making your first visit to Walt Disney World this year!  As a mom to 3 boys myself, I know that good food (and lots of it) is an important part of your vacation planning.  Here are some of my family's favorites.

Pizza is always a popular choice in our family and the authentic pies at Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzaria at Epcot don't disappoint, plus they offer a nice selection of pastas and some of my favorite desserts on property.

Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant at Disney's Hollywood Studios is themed like a '50s drive-in movie theater, complete with car-shaped tables and stars overhead, and the menu offers old-fashioned shakes, flavored Cokes and burgers.

If you have sports enthusiasts in your family, they'll love ESPN Club on Disney's Boardwalk.  The menu offers much more than the usual bar food...plus there are over 100 TVs!

If you'd rather be a part of the game, head to Downtown Disney and combine dinner with bowling at Splitsville Luxury Lanes.  The menu here is huge, with everything from sushi to burgers to pizzas (and more).

A few other notable mentions would include 'Ohana, Beaches & Cream Soda Shop and Whispering Canyon Cafe.

Take a look at the menus online and see what sounds good to your family.  No matter what restaurants you choose, I'd definitely recommend making your dining reservations 180 days in advance.

Wishing you a magical vacation, Nancy!
