First trip to Disney and so excited. I have 2 children 5 and 9. My son will celebrate his 6 b-day while we are there. What are some great restaurants they will both love?

Hi, Shawna!  There are so many wonderful dining experiences at Walt Disney World, and any number of them appeal to kids of all ages.  I think one that your children would enjoy is the Sci Fi Dine In at Disney's Hollywood Studios.  At this restaurant, you dine as if you were at a drive in movie theater back in the day - sitting in a convertible with the movie clips playing for your enjoyment.  My kids always enjoy this experience.

Another good restaurant is Whispering Canyon at the Wilderness Lodge.  The servers are always up to something, and there are plenty of laughs to be had at this dining experience.

If you are interested in a character meal, Chef Mickey's buffet at the Contemporary resort wins hands down for fun and food.  There are plenty of options to choose from, whether you do a breakfast or dinner here, and the character interaction with Mickey and friends is always great fun.

I hope you have a wonderful vacation and a happy birthday celebration for your son!
