    First trip to Disney april 21 2009 and staying at all music resort...we are traveling with an infant 16 months and a 13 year old,9,7,4...five kids in total...we are so excited and want to make most of it .....what are some tips?

    Melissa,

    Have a great time! A few tips, as requested;

    • Use the Rider Switch program as often as possible. Not just so the adults can enjoy some rides, but so that the older kids can as well. There is a video here that explains it well.
    • Consider splitting up into two groups one afternoon so one adult can focus on the older kids and the other can relax with the younger two.
    • Take naps and pool breaks every afternoon. It will keep everyone rested and relaxed.
    • Spend some time at your resort. Let your kids explore the fun grounds. A lot of people staying at Value resorts don't realize what fun they can have there.
    • Look at some of Disney's advice for families traveling with toddlers.
    • Ship ahead a box of favorite snacks and treats. You can save money on snacks, as well as the extra baggage charge from an airline if you are flying.
    • Use the Baby Care Centers in the parks to take care of the little ones, including diaper changing, feeding time, and as a quiet retreat.
