First timers visiting between 9/15-9/18 in Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom where is the best place to watch the parade at each park?

    Michelle,

At the Magic Kingdom there are two ways to go about it. If you just want to be close to the show, go to Frontierland, where fewer guests think to go. That also can, at certain slower times of the year like September, allow you to arrive closer to show time and still get a decent view. The other way to go is for effect. I love the ambiance of Main Street U.S.A. for parade watching. I think it just transports me to old world America, either in the afternoon or evening, and makes the show pop even more. On Main Street I always prefer being in front of Casey's, just so I am in a good spot for the fireworks afterwards. But really anywhere along the street is good. But be sure to arrive early, as seating along this street is popular all year around.

With the Animal Kingdom, I would suggest you park yourself on Discovery Island, near where you would enter the now defunct Camp Minnie-Mickey. There is some great shade there, which is important since they only have daytime parades. And when the show is over, you can head out to Africa easily.
