Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Charity! You are going to have such a great time during your first visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!
There are a few things that will become second nature when visiting the happiest place on earth. When you enter the parks, security Cast Members will check your bags at all four park entrances. Costumes may not be worn by guests older than 14, except for during Mickey’s Not-so-Scary Halloween Party, where adults may also dress up and trick-or-treat with Mickey and his friends.
You can bring in bottled water and other drinks just as long as they are not in glass containers. You can even bring in your own lunch. I’ve seen many families bring in sandwiches and other snacks. Take a look at
Walt Disney World Resort’s park rules if you have any doubts about what you’re wanting to bring into the theme parks.
As you start planning, you may want to consider staying on site. There are so many
benefits to being a Walt Disney World Resort hotel guest. Extra Magic Hours, additional time at the parks before they open or after they close for the public, complimentary parking and transportation to and from the parks are just a few of those perks.
Charity, before heading out for your first day, make sure you visit guest services at any of the park entrances to ask for a “It’s my first visit” celebration button. It will add a little magic to your adventures at the theme parks because Mickey and his Cast Member friends love to give first time guests special attention!
I know it's a lot to take in, but we're always here to help you! Feel free to stop by again if you have any more questions!
