Ahoy, Lisa!
I love your spontaneity booking a last minute cruise for your family, and it's your FIRST Disney Cruise! It's going to be so exciting, and I'm glad you don't have many days to wait for all the magic and fun your crew is going to have aboard!
The cabanas on
Disney Castaway Cay are a hot commodity and are usually booked very quickly once Guests are allowed to make online plans. But, with that said, people do change their minds so I always suggest continuing to check online in the Planning Center up to three days prior to departure. You'll want to look under "Activities" on "My Cruise Reservations" each day to see if any become available for your day on Castaway Cay. If you don't have any luck prior to your departure, you will want to head to the
Port Adventure Desk (Deck 5, Midship) upon boarding to see if any are available and you can put your name on a waiting list if not. It never hurts to ask!
If you don't end up with a cabana, you will be able to find a relaxing spot on either the Castaway Family Beach or Serenity Bay (adult-only beach). There are plenty of loungers, beach chairs, umbrellas and shade! I promise you you'll have an amazing day on the island no matter what! I've been there too many times to count, and it's always my favorite port-of-call! You'll love soaking in the magic while you're there.
Lisa, I hope you'll receive a dose of pixie dust before you set sail. If you have any other last minute questions, please let us know!
