we will be going for the first time to WWD on the first week of October 2012. Will we have to leave the park early if the Not so Scary Mickey is going on the same day as we are in Magic Kingdom?? I also wanted tips on traveling with a 5 & 2 yr olds :)

Hi, Maricela!  On the evenings that Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party is going on, the Magic Kingdom does close earlier to regular theme park guests so they can get things ready for the party.  They usually close the Magic Kingdom by 7 PM on party days.

My best tip for traveling with little ones is to try and keep them on their normal schedule as best as you can.  If you have little ones who are used to going to bed at 8 PM, it's going to be tough for them to hang out at a theme park until 10 PM and still be pleasant.  I always keep snacks and juice pouches with me, so I have something to give them to do if we are waiting in a longer line for something.

Keep an extra change of clothes handy for each child.  Even after potty training, you never know when you may need an emergency change, either due to a potty accident, a huge spill, or even just wet clothes from playing in a fountain.  If your little one is still using diapers, bring a few more than you think you'll need.

If you are not bringing a stroller, consider renting one at the theme parks.  It can be a long day for little legs, and even your five year old might appreciate a place to sit while waiting for the parade.

I hope you have a great time!
