this is our first time going to WDW,we want to stay somewhere right by the park area, where should we stay,we have 4 ,and can you like tell me a good way to save money, like budget planning.

Hi, Valerie!  There are different resorts closer to different theme parks, but if your budget is flexible, consider one of the monorail resorts.  Disney's Contemporary Resort, Polynesian Resort and the Grand Floridian are all deluxe resorts located on the monorail line.  The monorail takes you to the Magic Kingdom theme park, and it also takes you to another monorail that will bring you to EPCOT.  This is really convenient for both of those parks, and it seems that my family spends most of our time there anyway.

We also like the Boardwalk area, which allows a quick walk to EPCOT from the Boardwalk Resort, as well as the Yacht or Beach Club resorts.  Plus, the Boardwalk has some fun nighttime entertainment for kids and adults alike.

Budgeting for a Walt Disney World vacation can be a challenge, but there are some things you can do to help make it a bit less painful!  We like to purchase gift cards from the Disney Store, and then we just add money each paycheck to the card.  We've purchased them for the kids to put their souvenir money on them as well, so they know what their budget is for the vacation.  We also keep change jars on everyone's dresser, and we keep our change in there until right before our vacation, when everyone gets to take their jars to the bank to cash them in.  We find we end up with quite a bit of extra spending money that way.

Some banks also have vacation clubs, similar to Christmas clubs, where you deposit so much per week, then you take out that lump sum before you travel.  Our bank will even take it directly from our direct deposited paychecks!

    Have a magical vacation!
