First time to WDW in July. I am opting not to purchase the water park tickets. Taking 19 year old daughter with Boyfriend and 9 year old son. I chose not because we are not much on water parks. We have one here at home and never go. Is this a good choice?

I am not much of swimmer, but I do happen to really love the WDW water parks -- Blizzard Beach in particular. I have a great time there not so much because of the slides and attractions (which happen to awesome!), but because my kids (and husband) have such a great time there that we all end up having a blast.

That being said, if water parks in general aren't your thing, then by all means skip them. There is PLENTY to at WDW for weeks and weeks without setting foot in the water parks. As I said, we're big water park fans now, but we never went there at all until our 10th or 12th visit to Walt Disney World. We were just so busy exploring everything else that we never got there.

I think one of the best things about a Disney vacation is that you can make it what you want -- customize it to fit exactly your family's needs.
