Our first time at WDW, 2 adults, 1 daughter (5yrs). Staying at contemporary in Oct. - what room would you suggest, Bay Lake view, or Magic Kingom view? Daughter loves princesses, but have heard about great views on the lake at night as well (night show).

    Hi Jennifer,

If it's in your budget, I'd opt for the Magic Kingdom view room. You are correct that if you have a view of Bay Lake, in the evening you can see the Electrical Water Pageant. However, in my opinion, the pageant is best viewed from up close where you can hear the music, such as a spot on the beach. You'd obviously welcome to head down to the beach/dock one evening to see the water parade.

However, if you have a MK view, not only can you see the castle all day and night, you can also have a bird's eye view of the evening fireworks. The fireworks look GREAT from the slight distance of the Contemporary. And the castle lights at night are breathtaking.

It would be a truly perfect Disney experience for your little princess.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know if you have additional questions.
