First time visiting Disney in November with 6 & 9 year old sons.We have the Deluxe Dining Plan.I am trying to plan dinner reservations, but not sure how to work them.Do I make them at the parks we plan to visit that day, or do we pick what looks good?

Congratulations on your first Walt Disney World Vacation, Beth!  November is a great time to visit the "Happiest Place on Earth!"  Your sons are going to love experiencing all the magic of a Disney Vacation! You have asked a great question!  I always book our Advanced Dining Reservations for lunch in the park that we are visiting that day. In regards to dinner, we do often dine in the park that we are visiting that day. If you will have the park hopper option on your Magic Your Way Tickets, you may decide you want to go back to your Disney Resort during the day for a midday break or nap and then "park hop" to a different park later in the afternoon and enjoy dinner in that park. We also like to take the Resort monorail to one of the Magic Kingdom Resorts (Disney's Polynesian Resort, Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, or Disney's Contemporary Resort) to enjoy dinner in one of their amazing restaurants on days when visiting Magic Kingdom. On non-park days, we enjoy having dinner at Downtown Disney or one of the Disney Deluxe Resorts. Guests may begin booking Advanced Dining Reservations for table-service meals 180 days in advance by calling (407) WDW-DINE or by going online here.  I hope this information helps! Please don't hesitate to write me back with any additional questions regarding the Disney Dining Plan or if I can provide you with any dining recommendations. I would love to assist you in planning a Magical first trip, Beth!
    Happy Planning,
