First time using the dining plan and am a little confused on snacks. I was wondering if things like Lefou's Brew are counted as a snack on the dining plan? I would love my little guy to try this drink since he's a big apple juice fan. Love the panel!

    Hi Irene,

Lefou's Brew will debut at the new Gaston's Tavern next month. Since this dining location is not open yet, we're not sure exactly which items there will be considered snack credits on the Disney Dining Plan.

In general, snack credits may be used for single-serve items that retail for less than about $4.00. There are a few slightly more expensive items that may also be purchased for a snack credit. The menus at the park restaurants, shops, and food carts will have a small purple and white checkerboard symbol that tell you if that item counts as a snack.

Now back to Lefou ... this new menu item will be very similar to the Red's Apple Freeze that was introduced at Car's Land in Disneyland this summer. I had a chance to try it in July and found it to be deeeeelish. At Disneyland, the drink currently retails for $4.29. There are currently smoothies sold at the Disney World Art of Animation resort that retail for $4.49 and can be purchased with a snack credit.

All that's a very long way to say that if I had to make an educated guess, I would say that Lefou's Brew will be available for a snack credit, but until the restaurant actually opens later this fall, we won't know for sure.

Please let us know if you need any additional information. We're happy to help.
