Hello, This will be my first time travelling with my 2 year old. What hotel would you suggest i am looking for a smaller hotel with a good water park and possibly a kitchenette. Clean is very important. Also would I do a dining plan?

    Hi Momma!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It was just a few short years ago that I was bringing two-year-olds to Walt Disney World. They turn five in a week, and this momma is silently crying inside! You will love visiting with your little one. The magic is real all of the time, but it shines just a bit brighter through the eyes of a little one!

Disney's Contemporary Resort is one of my favorite Resorts, especially when you are traveling with the littles! We stayed at the resort on the first trip my twins took to Walt Disney World when they were seven months old. As a monorail resort, it is super convenient, and it is a short walk to Magic Kingdom Park. We loved being able to put everyone in a stroller, head to the Park in the morning, and then quickly return to the hotel for nap-time. That walk became my favorite part of the day!

Disney's Polynesian Village Resort has one of the most luxurious pools on property as well as the Kiki Tiki Water Play area for the littles. The pouring water buckets and spouting tiki statues can keep young and old delighted for hours. The hotel's beautiful beach area faces Seven Seas Lagoon and Magic Kingdom Park, and is one of the best places to view Happily Ever After!

All of the hotels are super clean and come with a mini-refrigerator and coffee service. The smallest Resorts will be the Deluxe properties, including Disney Vacation Club Villas. If you want a true kitchenette, I would consider a Studio Villa in any one of the Disney Vacation Club properties. Disney's Old Key West Resort and Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa are a bit spread out, so that might not be ideal for you. But I love Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney's Wilderness Lodge. It's one of our newest properties, the decor is modern-rustic and bright, and Magic Kingdom Park is a quick boat ride away.

As a momma, I am always looking for the most convenient, so I think any of these Magic Kingdom Resort properties would be perfect. In terms of the dining plan - go for it! It is so lovely to have pre-paid meals!

Nicole, if you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to come back. chEARs to a magical vacation!
